It might be fair to assume that there is more film of Helen dancing
than any other person in the world. Helen has appeared in over 500 (some
estimates come closer to 700) movies in a career that spans 40 years
and she has danced in in nearly every single one of those movies, sometimes
more than once.
Where would Bollywood be without Helen? Oh sure, there would still
be a Bollywood, there would still be bouffants, wing-tip eyeliner, kitsch,
and cabaret item dance numbers, but without Helen? It would be like
having champagne at a celebration without having the cork pop and the
