The film's conservative morality caused a wave of anti Western sentiment towards the Hippies who were 'tripping' through India at the time. The film's heroine, or should I say anti-heroine, Zeenat Aman also caused a fashion craze that influenced Indian street fashion with her Hippie outfits and Western make-up.
