R D Burman's amazing 'Bolly-Funk' musical score and
the incredibly kitsch 70s clothes are the lasting appeal of this Bollywood
entertainer. The film has some of the finest over-the-top, mouth dropping
bizarre, garish kitsch musical dance numbers Rishi Kapoor ever wore a wide
collar-white sequin leisure suit in. This is the type of late 70s Hindi Popular
Film that still has Indian intellectuals crawling under their seats in shame.
However films like "Hum Kisise Kum Naheen" with their aping of
Western popular culture and blatant glorifying of materialistic trappings,
are in hindsight now due for a critical reassessment.
