The SRK / Farah Khan Connection

 

Farah has had a long association with Shahruhk Khan, working as his choreographer on over a dozen films.

(The photos to the left are of Farah Khan working with SRK and Aishwarya Rai as she choreographs the dance moves for the item number "Ishq Kamina" for the film, "Shakti-[the Power]. As you can see all eyes are on Farah as she set up and directs the action.)

Many of Shahrukh Khan's signature dance moves (think KKHH, DDLJ, Dil Se.. K3G, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, and English Babu Desi Mem) were created by Farah Khan especially for SRK. Shahruhk and Farah are very close friends that extends to being close buddies off the set as well. They met on the set of "Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa" (1993) which was one of Farah's first films as a dance director. Their working relationship has created some of the best and most memorable movie moments for both of their prolific careers. It is a working relationship that is awe inspiring in achievement but virtually unknown outside of 'technical' Bollywood circles.

At this writing Farah Khan is in the process of directing her first Bollywood film "Main Hoon Naa" produced by Shahruhk Khan and Juhi Chawla's "Dreamz Unlimited" production company. SRK is scheduled for the starring role in the film.
